Meet AnnMarie

AnnMarie has spent her life working, teaching, raising her family, and serving her community. She is ready to take the values she has lived by: hard work, compassion, fairness, and standing up for others.

AnnMarie is running because Michigan should be affordable for working families and because government should work for the people it represents.

As a teacher, AnnMarie understands the challenges facing students and educators. She will fight to fully fund K–12 classrooms, make universal free breakfast and lunch permanent, and reduce unnecessary standardized testing so schools can focus on what matters most: helping every child succeed.

As a mother and grandmother, AnnMarie knows that families need more than good intentions; they need real support. She supports paid parental leave, affordable childcare, and Medicare for All because no parent should have to choose between caring for their family and paying the bills, and no one should be denied healthcare because they cannot afford it.

As a union member, AnnMarie knows firsthand the importance of workers having a voice. She will fight to make Michigan affordable for working families and give working people the power to build a secure future. AnnMarie will also stand firmly for protecting reproductive rights and getting money out of politics. She believes elected officials should answer to their constituents, not wealthy donors, corporations, or special interests.

At the heart of AnnMarie’s campaign is a simple belief: Michigan should work for working families. She is running to support students, support families, support change, and ensure that every Michigan family has the opportunity to thrive.
